Hi everyone, I am a 16 male and have been lifting weights for nearly a year. Lately, over the past few weeks, it seems all I can do is eat. I am always snacking or eating a meal and am always hungry. Can someone tell me what is going on? IP: Logged |

i'm almost 16 and have the same problem dude. i think at our age our metabolism is probably so fast that anything we eat gets burned off FAST! at dinner i can eat something like two good sized fish, a decent serving of veggies and some other stuff then in a couple hours i'm looking for something else to eat. it could also be that there's not enough carbohydrates in our diet. Hey thanks slicksalmon, I figured that might be what it was but i wasn't sure if anyone else had my problem. For example at about 3:30 I ate a footlong subway sandwich and in about 3 hours i was looking for snacking around again. I havent gained any weight from doing this...i normally run maybe a mile 3 days a week or so plus my normal cardio and lifting routine. Hopefully this is just a phase and it wont make me fat lol IP: Logged |

It's because you're 16. Prime time for growth = lots of necessary fuel. IP: Logged |

Also 16 here....I'll eat a meal and stuff myself full and then I'll wanna eat more a half an hour later. Not that it's bad though....if you have a lightning metabolism you wanna eat like a horse. IP: Logged |

Just so you eat the right things and take the gym seriously. There is no problem so don't question yourself. IP: Logged |
