I'd just like to say I was at a hotel last night....where I went to the weight room and was forced to use machines because they didn't have free weights....and I must say, I hate them!! Nothing can compare to free weights! IP: Logged |

Yup, machines blow. There for beginners or girls in my opinion. IP: Logged |

Yes, they are bad in most cases. But you can't say that having a lat machine or a butterfly machine isn't good. The muscles they target are difficult to isolate with freeweights. Other than that, I feel they are quite prissy. IP: Logged |

Through all my injuries, and days without a training partner, machines come in handy.I love free weights and there's no substitute, but machines do have there place in every Gym.Also there great for the beginners and the elderly, blind people too. IP: Logged |

The gym I go to is designed more for bodybuilding/powerlifting so they have a good selection of free weights. There's one of those "athletic clubs" on the otherside of town full of rich fags who play tennis 24/7 lol and all they have is a bunch of machines and a tiny little corner with free weights. That's the reason I don't go there. Free weights sculpt your body out better than any of those gay machines. However, our gym has some hammerstrength machines that are plate loaded and i think those are really nice. IP: Logged |
