![]() ![]() ![]() First of all, that is one hell of an annoying bump. He's been doing that on all the different boards and it is a pain in the ass. I don't know if you are just stupid or if you are some 13 year old who has nothing better to do, but quit it. As far as your question, I would like to know also. I plan on getting certified asap and hopefully start training clients out of my basement when I go back to school. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tony- ACE is one of the best...you might check out ACSM and ISSA also, they are reputable. I can tell you that personal training can be very rewarding on your own, as long as you're able to maintain a good level of clientele. Fortunately, I have had a steady level of clients and have enjoyed working for myself. I pay the gym a monthly deposit, based on the # of clients I have that month. Check around and see what gyms might offer. Many will want to rip you off, so be careful. Also, you have to be a "people person" in order to succeed at this business. It's great to know everything there is to know about designing programs, but unless you can apply that knowledge, you won't make it. Definately get certified and know your stuff, and if you truly enjoy what you're doing, it will be the most fun career you can imagine! ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ISSA, FIT, ACE, some are harder then others to get but they all help. Personal experience is a must. Personality is a must, and you have to be able to tolerate every type of individual.. Even stinky ones!! Flexible schedule and a good training facility. Nutrition background is always good because that part is as or more important then anything, and they will ask you ? pertaining to it all. Good luck. The $ is great and the rewards keep ya doing it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() becoming a personal trainer is not as hard as many think. there are many self employed personal trainers out there who have unlimited clients and are not even certified. U see these trainers all over the place . I have been doing personal training since I was 18 years old and I have no certification at all but I am in fact very knowlegeable about fitnes topics. The best way to becomming a personal trainer is to start your own personal training business . meaning hire other trainers to train your clients . Your job will be to get the clients and you will have your trainers train them . It takes nothing to start your own personal training business. But u do need to have insurance in case your clients get injured. from my experiences the best way to getting as many clients as u want is to make connections with health food store owners. U see these people have access to many clients who buy supplements from them. Tell them who u are and also tell him that u want to make a deal with him that when he brings u clients u will be giving him 15$ each client he gets me that's in one session by the way. In my business I usually charge 60 to 100 $ an hour . so let's say the health food store owner gets me 10 clients for the week and they each train 2 sessions a week. That's a total of 20 sessions . so the store owner makes 300 $$ in profits and that seems like alot and it is for doing nothing but u will be making alot more your income for the week from only these clints will be at arround 1000$ cash.. But remeber that's only from one health food stores cliets. Now imagine u have over 10 health food stores getting u 20 clients a week not U can make some real money . I have a contract with 10 stores and I make a minumum of 2000 a week in income . And sometimes go up to 5000$ a week. And the only thing I do is making connections with health food store owners. It's very easy to get as many clints as u want U just need to do some work in the beggining finding good trainers and making the right connections with health food store owners and then u will have unlimited clients..good luck ![]() IP: Logged |
