![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() How many exercises should you do to failure? I have about 20 exercises for all my bodyparts if not more... How many exercises should I do to see the biggest gains? Also should I use heavy weight? Or Low Weight, but high intensity? thanks IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() 20 sets is far, far, far, far too many. You only need to do about 8-12 sets max. First exercise do two warm ups (15-20 and 12 rep) then hit the last set and do 6-8 reps. After that you can do 2 or 3 exercises of 1 or 2 very heavy sets (6-8 reps). It should take no longer than 40 min to do a body part. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The main goal in a HIT workout, is to fatigue the muscle with one successful heavy set that is taken to failure. Instead of working the muscle set after set, you only do one workset per exercise. I do three exercises for major body parts and two for small body parts. I always do 2-3 light warm up sets on the first exercise for that muscle group. Then I grab heaviest weights I can use with good form and rep out to failure. I try to fail around 6-8 reps for my upper body, 8-12 reps for lower body. Check out www.cyberpump.com for more info on HIT. Each WORKOUT should be no more than 40 minutes. You should only train each body part every 7-12 days. ------------------ IP: Logged |
