Whenever you work a bodypart and you are feeling a burn of another that means that you are using more of the other muscle to help with what your lifting. ![]() ![]() ![]() For biceps try doing incline seated dumbell curls before standing barbell curls.This is a good isolation excersise, and when done heavy and strict is a great mass builder, which is often overlooked.With tricep work you just have to be super strict, focus on the muscle and get a peak contraction and a full stretch on every movement. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For me bis were always hard to build. As with any muscle, give it some time to develop, it won't happen overnight. You shoud hit excercises that don't allow you to cheat such as preacher curls, and use a full range of movement. Also, always change up your routine each week so that your muscles don't get to acclimated. Look back in two years and you will be happy. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I know the other guys talked about this but I can't stress it enough! Don't worry about the weight. I promiss you that the weight will come if you get the form down. For example take barbell curls, Lighten up on the weight so you can do 10-12 reps comfortably for a few sets. Focus on your biceps curling the weight and don't swing the weight up using your shoulders or your back. Do allot of isolation movements like preacher curls, incline curls, and concentration curls. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't want to beat a dead horse either, but form is everything. I really like seated dumbble curls for my first set. I do about 4 sets of them. Then I will do 3 to 4 sets of hammer curls. After that I really like to top it off with incline curls, they crush the the top head. Try doing 3 sets of 4 movements, or 4 sets of 3 movements. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I work arms harder than any other body part... to me, this isn't about symmetry.. it's an arms race. And I want to be the one with the best guns. All I can say is for arm growth... heavy weight is important... but only heavy weight you can CONTROL. Arm growth is Form and Focus. Use a weight that is difficult... but not one that you start cheating after 2 reps. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You might be doing the motions to fast. Do it slower....way slower...like 3 secs in each direction.....and concentrate hard on hitting your biceps. Arnold said he used to imagine his biceps inflating and filling the whole room when he was doing preacher curls. And if you aren't already...jam your elbows against you side when doing barbell curls. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() if you want a hell of a burn to shock them bi's into more growth grab 2 dumbells about 10-15 lbs go over to the decline bench lay down and do to sets to failure thats a sweet burn i did it yesterday for bi's and wow its burning today ------------------ IP: Logged |
