Its really odd, but today after working out I noticed my left pec has grown a bit faster than my right one. Even stranger is that my right arm is larger than my left slightly, so it looks a little off balance. Im used to having one side slightly larger than the other, especially when I hit pockets of growth every few months, but this time, my left pec is significantly larger than my right, especially when I flex. I've heard that adding weight to the bar on the lagging side will encourage growth on that side. Should I try it, or is it something I really shouldnt be worried about? IP: Logged |

It can sometimes be your simple imagination. The best would be to take a measure and measure both pecs and both arms and then if you their the same size, then it was your imagination. I once had this feeling with my right arm being bigger then my left arm and then measured both flexed and cold and they were both the same size. When you train, keep up the intensity on both sides. If your doing any type of exercise with a barbell, make shure you lift it with as much force on the left side as the right side... ------------------ Mark [This message has been edited by marvelous_mark (edited June 22, 2000).] IP: Logged |

i too have this problem, but for me, it is because i broke my collar bone as a kid ad one of my rib cages shifted down a little, making one extrude more. i really care about symmetry so i do favour the smaller side a little. another reason why this happends is because, if you hace a significantly stronger arm, the one with the weaker arm would be lifting with more intensity, thus making is grow faster. jsut get really huge and you wont even be able to notice it, mines starting to go away. hope this helps IP: Logged |

Mine is like boogieman's. Not noticably different thoguh. It may be my imgination, I haven't gotten round to measurin them. If it turns out that one is bigger than the other, make sure if using a barbell to use both sides for power. Or use dumbbells. That would probably isolate the side, making you use all force to lift up the weight. ------------------ IP: Logged |
