ive done a bit of reading on this, and looking at other poeple's training routines to try and figure out a formula...but i know it really depends on "what works best for you". i read on t-mag that you should limit it to 12 sets per workout irrespective of number of muscles worked, at a 8-12 rep range. A newbie non-jiucer posted a message on the anabolic board that he was told to do 9 sets per muscle and he was working two muscle groups per workout....and he was told by the other guys that he wasn't doing nearly enough. Currently im on a split routine: chest/triceps back/biceps shoulders legs abs twice a week. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I do two working sets per excersise, and no more than two excersises per bodypart, the exception being back when i do chins, rows and deadlift.6-10 reps to absolute failure and the last set with either negatives or partial reps. IP: Logged |

I do 3-4 sets on a normal lifting day, but if I have a game that day or the day after I do 1 set or medium weight. It works the body part, but doesn't make it sore for the game. ------------------ IP: Logged |
