![]() ![]() ![]() Does anyone have any advice on the best angle for doing decline pressing? I'm gonna start throwing decline bench press in my chest workout every few weeks to give my chest a bit of a shock. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I don't do declines but i do dips after benching, which also hits the lower pecs hard and is a good mass builder. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I've got a big chest I just want to get than "turned under" look, so I'm gonna do decline a few workouts. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Declines are worthless. They are a big misconception. They tend to put your shoulders into a degenarative state causing slow decrepitus to occur. Bottom Line: They suck, incorporate something else instead. Just my factual opinion. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i did some decline dumbell presses for a while, but i didnt even feel anything except in my shoulders. my chest has a pretty good shape so ive never really missed any decline exercises. ------------------ "...damn you for not giving my TEST" - Metallica IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't like doing decline exercises that much. It sends a rush of blood to my head and makes it harder to lift weights that I normally could do. Then when I get up from doing a set I feel dizzy as shit. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() thats weird, because i always do decline, and intesly feel the burn in my chest , even more than flat bench, it works really great for me. the angle should not exceed 45 degrees, use different angles each time you work out so that it works different parts of your chest. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() oh yeah, and keep elbows facing out so it concentrates the weight more in the chest; try to widening your grip sometimes. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() That look you are trying to achieve(tucked under) has more to do with the genetic aspect of your chest. Besides declines are worthless and counter productive. "Yet another soldier in irongods army" ------------------ IP: Logged |
