![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() some of these recipes will sound fucked but beleive me they are good. grilled chicken sandwich in rye bread -skinless boneless chicken breast (grilled in pan with saf or flax oil) 300 cals, 30 pro, 20 carb pro protein sandwich in pita -can of tuna i eat this for breakfast sometimes and lunch under 500 cals, over 60 of pro, under 15 carb. pro omelette -8 egg whites under 500 cals over 60 pro, no carb. i also have made pancakes by sustituting flour for whey protein powder, topped with low cal yogurt, use fruit flavoured powder, they turned out pretty good. *dont ever try to bake with protein powder, the protein makes the consistency thick and gluey like tar. i make these pretty much every day and it works pretty well. if your getting bored with just eating canned tuna, and other bland sources of pro, the try one of these. tell me what you think eh. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() dude, i think you got it all wrong.. you seem to not know anything about carbs. You need tons of more carb more then protein, in your diet you had barely any carbs, and in these recipes you have barely any carb. Carbs help gain muscle. YOU NEED CARBS!!! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ok brumans, your stupid, and ur 12 so stop tryin to correct someone who is alot older than you. next thing, protein in the building blocks of muscle, carbs are mainly used as energy in the body, that is why if you eat too many carbs along w/ protein you will get fat because your baidy can't use all the carbs along w/ the protein so it stores it and u get fat. i think thats right, u guys tell me ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SUUUUURE ya do, how would a 12 yr old kid know more about bodybuilding and nutrition when he hasn't even had health class yet. ok i think i would know more about b/c my cousin is a semi-pro bodybuilder(hasn't entered any big contests yet) and he is a nutritonalist(i think thats what its called) so i think i probaly know more than you, also i know about this subject because before my dad went on the atkins diet he did alot of research on carbs and stuff like that ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() no, why would u want alot of carbs in a protein sandwich, yes to gain u need carbs,BUT, he was wrong that they are a muscle builder, they don't build nearly as much muscle as protein, carbs are MAINLY for energy, pretty much the only thing u get from carbs is fat, and when trying to gain mass, u still don't wanna get fat. but u guys can think what u want, but my cousin and i have been working on my diet and there is a normal amount of carbs in it, not alot. look at weight gainer, most of the carbs in it are sugars, they are gonna make u fat, and are mainly for energy, you get carbs which change to energy, which makes u work harder, and then u turn the protein into muscle, but u don't need alot of carbs to build muscle ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() all of you have valid points. carbs ARE energy, and IF you gt to much carbs you will get fat. but the amount of carbs you need depends on what your goal is. Let me give you an example. When i did my mass gaining diet this winter, i had as much as 650g carbs a day. but now, as im dieting down, im down to 220g a day. and as i gained mass i DID gain some fat, but thats unavoidable. but what fat ive gained ive lost during the first 6 weeks of my diet down phase..and im looking to end at 15 pounds higher bodyweight than i had last yer...with ripped abs, and the whole nine yards.. and guys..lets keep it civil ok? if you think ive misunderstood and im wrong..please say so..all information is greatly appriciated. ------------------ "...damn you for not giving my TEST" - Metallica IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i did not mean to start an arguement, but these are not meals, they are simply snacks after evening when carb is not as important. i always thought that it was vitamins and minerals that help with protein absorbtion, not carbs, they are mainly for energy aren't they? anyways thanks for your input! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() another thing: if carb is supposedly so important is protein absorption, then how the heck is the anabolic diet supposed to work? if You are depriving yourself of all carbs untill weekends? althought carb is very important for energy, i always was always taught in weight training class that protein is the element that does all the muscle building. what do you guys think? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() water, vitamins, and minerals are absorption...ive read a lot of article in which may bodybuilders did no carbs before a contest and lost a lot of muscle..it doesnt build it but you really need it to build muscle..most articles will support a 3:1 carb to protein ration for a post-workout meal becuse you deplete your body anyone know what im talking about?
