at your age as long as you are active and eating healthy you shouldn't have to worry about how many calories you are getting IP: Logged |

Just eat right and run around with your friends. If you dedicate that part of your childhood to lifting and stuff you'll regret it when you're older and have no memories of playing with your friends. Go easy on the candy and don't argue with your mom when she makes you eat vegetables at dinner. ------------------ IP: Logged |

First off, I don't know who the fuck you are and what your eating habits are, so I wouldn't know if you forgot what candy was or not. According to you its been 4 months since you had candy not 4 years. Second, Good for you that you love vegetables. It makes eating them that much more enjoyable now doesn't it. Third I don't know any person that has friends and doesn't want to hang out with them. I'm sure all the other guys on here hang out with their friends. You should try it, maybe your life will feel more a little bit more complete. Did you ever think about asking one of your friends, that you don't want to hang with, to exercise with you. Its good motivation for those days when you don't want to go exercise. Finally don't fucking put words in my mouth. Did I tell your 73lb ass to stop exercising? No. As a matter of fact I've been trying to help your ungrateful ass out to the best of my ability whether it be you asking about your caloric intake or some ass hole calling you a queere for no reason what-so-ever. The advice I give out is what works best for me. So why don't you be a little more grateful for the advice I'm giving you. Whether you agree with it or not. ------------------ IP: Logged |

ok.. i'm sorry.. I was just telling you.. I was in a bad mood.. i was tired of people telling me to stop bodybuilding and play with my friends, and other crap like that, but i didnt mean it like i was yelling at you.. i thank you for your advice.. i was just tring to get my point out of who I am, and if i dont like to hand out with friends .. then it really doesnt matter, because i like bodybuilding alone.. but thats just me. So i'm not mad at you or whatever i'm just telling you who I am.. so sorry if it sounded that way, i probably should have took more time to write it and say other things.. but thanks for your advice, thats why i come here, for advice and i appreciate all the advice i get, whether I like it or not.. first, i gotta aplaud rexie for his little schpeel back there, well said. second i wanted to make a comment about what brumans said. he said he hadn't had candy in 4 months and then said he didn't even know what it was. hahaha, i find that pretty funny that he says he doesn't even know what candy is but hasn't had any in 4 months! sorry, but you suck at lying dude. quit criticizing the kid, all he wants is some knowledge on healthy nutrition and weight training, sure he's young, but any kind of information is useful. who gives a shit if hes too young, we warned him, and he decided not to listen, so fucking what? Anyways bruman, i always went y multiplying your bodyweight by: 15- to gain (more carb less protein), 13 to maintain and 11 to lose(more protein less carb) i have always went by this and it is the most natural healthy way of losing/gaining pounds a few pounds.doing this you should gain or lose about a pound or two a week depending on your metabolism, but if you do it, you might become malnutritioned because your undeveloped body is under rapid growth, IP: Logged |

13 to maintain.. well that is sure not concerning me.. 910 calories a day is totally not enough.. just pointing that out IP: Logged |

brumans...you refer to "bodybuilding" quite often...well, your body is doing exactly that at your age..w/out all the weight training your talking about..point is you don't need it for your body to grow i think weight training at your age is far more detrimental(i.e. more harm than good) than it is beneficial.. you seek advice from those with experience, and i think everyone on this board (if they haven't already) will agree that you need to wait it out a few years until you start your weight training. stick to pushups, pullups, crunches, lunges, etc..you'll be amazed at the results IP: Logged |

Brumans, do this. Play sports YEAR ROUND, especially sign up for football. If you eat healthy on top of that you won't have to lift wieghts and you will get healthier. At your age hanging out with friends should be more important than lifting. Plus if you are worried about eating protein than get 73 GRAMS a day, no more, no less. My kid brother is the same age as you are, doesn't eat like you, and I gaurantee you he is a helluva lot stronger than you are because he only lifts once a week, the main exercise is benching, and he plays sports like football and wrestling. Oh and did I forget to mention, he has friends and has a better life because of it IP: Logged |

bruman..i think ya missed my point when i said not to worry about your calories. I was trying to point out that at your age if you are eating healthy and staying active (sports etc) just eat as much as you reasonably can and you won't need to worry about a specific caloric intake number. Also, i never said you should not work out, but you should listen to the dudes here and concentrate more on being active and sports than hard core weight lifting, like someone else said at your age if you try to lift to heavy you could do more harm than good. I think it's great that you want to be fit at your age but you have to be reasonable...your still very young and growing so give it some time. IP: Logged |

bruman, the reason why this system does not work for you is because your way to young and under developed. this system is meant for people startingfrom people who have completely gone through puberty and approaching adulthood, and on. another reason why you are way to young for diets. example: 175 lbs: gain x15 - 2625 note that this system is for those who are moderately active. Brumans, go to the long ass site I pasted below(COPY AND PASTE IT, some smoe would actually type that shit out...I know one person will). Then click on nutrition and go down that page some and you'll find some calculator thing that when you enter your weight and hours training tells you how many calories you should be getting. Sorry the site is so long, but I found it threw a search engine and they always gotta make shit complicated. I ain't sure how accurate it is, but what the fuck...its a step in the right direction? Good luck. http://www.askjeeves.com/main/metaAnswer.asp?MetaEngine=WebCrawler&logQID=81294032052FD31199AC00A0C9FC78E0&qCategory=HLTH&qSource=0&frames=yes&site_name=Jeeves&scope=web&r=x&MetaTo pic=Sports+Coach+-+Sports+Coach+Web+Site+Index&MetaURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brianmac.demon.co.uk%2Fsiteindx.htm&EngineOrdinal=2&ItemOrdinal=9&ask=what+are+some+good+leg+exercises%3F+me tasearch&origin=0&MetaList=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brianmac.demon.co.uk%2Fsiteindx.htm&x=21&y=1 ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey Bruman. This board isn't going to help you if you don't even know the basics. Go out and buy a book on bodybuilding. Because here you're just going to get mixed answers. Check out the book, Serious Strength Training, by Tudor Bompa. This book has all kinds of routines for building mass, strength and for getting cut. You ask so many questions, so I'm guessing that you don't know what the hell you're doing. Happy training. IP: Logged |
