I feel supersetting used infrequently does help to promote growth. However do not deviate to far fromt the traditional straight set, compound movement routine. IP: Logged |

supersetting used intermitantly can really blast your muscles. supersetting will streatch opposing muscle groups out well and cause greater blood flow into the muscles which will stimulate growth. you can also do giantsets and dropsets to hit the slow twitch fibers really well. standard heavy training does not hit the slow twitch muscle fibers as well. by training the slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers you can recruit more of your muscle and better develop muscle size. While not actually supersetting, I've had good results alternating sets for oppposing muscles. For example, do a set of rows, rest for 30-45 secs., then do bench presses. This will allow you to use heavier weights than true supersetting, and as a plus you'll finish your workout faster. IP: Logged |
