![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you are getting stronger that is one type of positive result. I really would get more free weight usage in. Machines are ok but free weight lifting will work much better. Stick to basic compound moves. You also may need to increase your caloric intake. Your metabolism might be burning off a lot of what you are consuming or you are not consuming enough. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The reason I'm not doing free weights is that i'm still growing and my Dr. talled me it will stunt my growth. About how many calories I eat a day, how much do u think I need to eat, I eat about 1500. BY the way, I have another question: [This message has been edited by omer123456 (edited May 26, 2000).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am not sure I agree entirely with your doctor but do what you feel your comfortable doing with weights. As for your caloric intake it should be 2200 calories for an active 15 year old male. Eat more and eat more often through the day, if possible. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Free weights stunt your growth but machines don't? I would get a second opinion if I were you. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() omer, The truth is that doctors over here (US) don't (generally) know much about weightlifting. The fact is that weightlifting has not been shown to stunt your growth. Go ahead and use free weights, just be careful. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() yeah but my point was that they know enough to tell you that it doesn't stunt growth, Mr. Muscle probaly wants to be shorter because when you are shorter and you weight like 240 you look a hell of a lot bigger IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() exactly eagle. i have long limbs, therefor my muscles are also long. so the amount of muscles i have to put on to look big is enormous..just look at Gunther Schlierkampf. ------------------ http://home.sol.no/~mrmuscle/ IP: Logged |
