Greetings all-
Im currently recovering from a broken wrist that i suffered a little over two months ago..which has prohibited my upper body training. At this stage I'm able to perform pushups on a regular basis, but not yet ready to move to heavy lifting...im wondering if doing a hundred or so pushups a day would be considered "overtraining". Granted its not as strenous as chest exercises with weights..i'm still curious to know if this is beneficial in the recovery of my chest muscles. Thanks for your help! So far this board surpasses any other ive been around in adequote information pertaining to training/supplements/gear..im impressed!

Push ups are a good exercise. As for not using weight, remember you are using your body weight to do these. I would not do them everyday. Try everyother day. This will give your chest and wrist a rest. Also as you progress there are ways to make the push up harder like hand positions, using one arm, or extra weight on your back.

Yeah, this is a good site.

I used to do decline push-ups to add more weight when I was not able to hit the gym.

Put your feet higher than your chest which transfers more of your weight on your arms.

Hang your feet on some furnature or something.

you can do them everyday if you want to, just start out w/ a lower number of them say 50 or less and build your way up, if you do that you will build more endurence
