I heard you can gain 2 lbs a week if you train your ass off, but I'm probably wrong. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Your wrong and right. you may be able to gain 1 maybe 2 pounds a week but it's not from training your ass off. You have to train effectively, get enough protein, water and ALOT of sleep. IP: Logged |

And it is nearly impossible to put on muscle without putting on fat also. I put on about 1 pound of fat/water for every two pounds of muscle. That amounts to about 1/3 of the wieght is fat. Then to burn off the fat you will loose a little muscle. IP: Logged |

actually there is a way to avoid losing muscle when triming up. there is a supplement called CLA it is like some kind of fatty acid that gives you mors fat to burn so you don't burn your muscle. unless you are really fat, then you don't need anything IP: Logged |

b, if your question of a "normal" person is one who is natural then when EVERYTHING is perfect i.e. training, nutrition, sleep then the AVERAGE weight a person will gain will be 5-8lbs of muscle A YEAR!!!! YES, A YEAR!!!! Now granted there are variables in everything, a newbie might gain ALOT more, but the average intermediate to advanced weight lifter will gain no more than 5-8lbs with a max of 10lbs of muscle a year. That my freind is a fact of life. Now if that "normal" person takes A/S then that amount or more can be gained in a month! I am NOT advocating anything here, especially for anyone under 25 years old, just laying down the facts.
