![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i do like 8 - 10 heavy sets for chest, triceps, shoulders, calves, and back 10 - 12 for quads, hams, and 4 - 8 for traps and bi's i have always trained like this i guess and i'm a pretty big guy but a buddy of mine has put on more in the last several moinths than i have b'c he has increased his number of heavy sets is this cool or should i just stick with what i'm doing do as to not overtrain? ![]() ![]() ![]() It might just be that your body has adjusted to your routine, and its probaly time to change your routine up. Do 12-15 sets for your big muscle groups chest, back, legs, and 10 sets for your smaller tris, bis, so on. Go heavy 5-10 reps just make sure you consume enough protein and take in a lot of cals.
