Like I said before you will never know until you try them yourself,ya can't go on other peoples opinions because what worked for their body may have no effect on yours.

Just like Mac Sloan try them and see what works best for you. Everybody responds different to certain routines just because someone told you that some routine worked for him it may not work for you.

Everyone is different. Look at, Arnie he used to do loads of sets but Dorian Yates recommends only a few. You have to see what works for you. I would suggest you start in the middle i.e. 12 sets of 8-12 reps. If this works well stick with it. If you are not getting the results you want (but be patient - Rome wasn't built in a day) - try upping or lowering the sets. I tried upping it but I suffered from joint ache and overtraining. So I lowered it (not quite to Dorian's extreme) and this worked for me.
Work it by listening to your body.

The best thing you can do is try each one for about 6-8 weeks while keeping ameticulous diary of what you did, what you ate, and how you felt. I know it's a pain, but there really is no other way.
