![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have bad knees. They hurt like hell sometimes when I squat. The pain ceases when I use Knee Wraps. Should I continue to Squat with them or should I dump them? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If it hurts don't do it.Common sense. Shouldn't be using wraps unless going for a super heavy lift. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Don't do squats then! It might sound drastic but if you damage your knees then you might not beable to train at all. I suspect that you have been going too low and stressing the knees. Instead of squats, try to leg pressing for a while. I agree with the previous post - I can leg press 1200llb and don't need straps. You only need straps if you are a super heavy power lifter. If you bodybuild right then your knees should be strong enough to cope with your squatting and pressing. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just a thought. How much cardio do you presently do? If you run or jog a lot of days then this can wear down the knees as well. Then when it is your day to squat, they of course will hurt. If you do not do much cardio then try what was recommened eariler by doing leg presses instead. If you do run a lot then try switching to a lower impact aerobic exercise for a while. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() See a doc, maybe you have something wrong, if you started off light and progressed gradually then your knees should not be a problem. The cardio thing may be correct cuz I know running stresses the knees a lot. If you run for cardio try riding a bike or swimming, or even just playing a sport like basketball or something. ![]() ![]() ![]() No wraps! The less you use any support the better. Unless you are a powerlifter, there is no need for using any heavier weights that you cannot handle yourself. Try to use lighter weights and really slow negative part of motion. By the way. Its always best to do full-squats and forget that parallel shit. Going ass to the grass doesnt harm your knees any more than doing partials. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I hate to say it but stay away from the mother of all exercises(the squat)and go to a Dr so you can get it taken care of.
