Just thought Id write a little expierience of mine, I read heavy duty II by mentzer and tried it exactly as it said, I made terrific gains in strength - especially squat + dead lift, I ate well but only seemed to get stronger and fatter - why didn't I get any bigger?. The program actually resulted in me straining my knee because I was squating so much. My theory is that it was only an increase in efficiency and they did not grow because my hormones were not sufficiently stimulated. If this was the case doing steroids & heavy duty should work - I am not going to try this but this would be in line with the success of Dorian Yates's training philosophies. bye. IP: Logged |

im not too familiar with heavy duty, but i know it consists of limited sets and exercises per bodypart. if u are doing less exercises and sets, ur metabolic rate is going to slow down. weight training burns fat, so if ur doing less ur going to burn less fat. and the reason u got stronger on those exercises was if u always just do say, leg extensions and nothing else, your brain and the nerves only have to adapt to that one movement, so you'll get pretty good at it. ------------------ IP: Logged |
