![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() does anybody know how strong some of the pro bodybuilders really are? i have read some things in the mags that seem implausible. i spent two weeks in cali last year and saw some of the big names, five of them competed in the olympia. they didnt seem to be handling the really big weights, though they were all huge of course. jus curious if anybody had any stories. ![]() ![]() ![]() Bodybuilding is not about how much you can lift (that's power lifting). Bodybuilding is about correct form and maximum contraction. The guys you saw lifting were proably getting pumped for a comp. Powerlifters go all out for 1 rep whereas bodybuilders keep the pump going for 6-8 reps. One of the major mistakes that people make is sacrificing form for poundage so they can impress people. Saying that, Dorian Yates used to do 420llb incline bench press (8-10 reps) - which is not exactly light. IP: Logged |
