I like the all in one day concept. I personally split up my quads and hams to seperate days. i know i probably bomb my quads too hard, so it makes it difficult to muster any energy to hit hams and calves with the same energy. so i split it. calves actually i do 2x a week if I can find the time. i find that they respond better to more stimulation. i normally do 3 heavy sets of seated with 2 sets pyramiding up in weight to begin with. and then i hit 4 sets of standing calf raises too. i make sure i destroy my calves pretty much,it may be too much, i doubt it though. they have responded well in the past year or so. As for hams, have you tried straight leg deadlifts? they are pretty good for the hams too. but for me good old leg curls are good too. IP: Logged |

I treat my hams as a seperate part. Quads are the main hting here but how many people have impresive hams? I think you leg routine is good but maybe add in some hacks for a nice sweep and than work hams on a seperate day. I like pulley leg curls one leg at a time working from 15 -12- 10-8 and than single leg curls same way. I always finish with light leg curls but squeeze at the top and try to touch my legs to my butt. Agree with the last guy on calves I bomb heavy on leg day but work atleast 3 times a week with donkeys, seated calf raise, standing with heavy weigh partial and than light weight ultra strict all the way up and down as far as possible to stretch. The Leg Adductor machine works the inner thigh. I find them useful for going side to side in roller skating and tennis. I also dont get a real workout in that area by any other machines IP: Logged |

Try squats for 10sets of 10reps. Balls to the wall after warm-up. Then two days later Superset leg curls and stiff leg deads for 10sets of 10reps each. Your legs will love ya for it. Have a trash can ready. Good luck. IP: Logged |

Try pre-exhausint quads by doing ext first then a compound movement. You may not be able to handle as much weight, but are you trying to lift weight or get quad development. a good routine to shock them if you've grown stagnate: leg ext. 8-12reps repeat 3 times...NO BREAK...then go throw up. one thing i noticed about joes routine was the lack of hamstring exercises. i didnt see any stiff legged deads. just 3 sets of leg curls. thats not that much, and considering they were at the end of the workout, energy levels would have been down, too. ------------------ IP: Logged |
