Just a quick question to my bros. I have been
laid up with a horrible flu for two days! I have a $10,000 gym in my basement which I put in last year. At what point should I say fuck it and just train. Is this stupid!! Should I wait a day or so more to make sure I am over this flu, or will training help!!!

Do what you can, it may be hard since your energy levels are probably low but try to keep it up.

Sometimes after I train when I have a cold I come right. The only workout I wouldn't do with a cold is legs as it requires too much stamina.

If it's a horrible flu like you've said, your body will not be able to recover from training, this will lead to overtraining very quickly. I know it's hard, but you are better off not training: you will heal faster.

Training will not make it better, it will make it worse. Good nutrition(vitamins and minerals) and good rest will help.

I wouldnt do it man, your sickness could get worse, maybe if you just had a cold or something then no biggie. BUt what you got sound spretty bad, I dont think you will get anything out of the work out except maybe get sicker or lower your immune system.

Well Bros, I did it!!! I think it was a big mistake. I did back(pretty stupid to begin with). Interestingly I lifted some heavy wieght. I got 10 reps of pullups with a 25lb plate on my belt and did 4 sets of bent over rows with 225 for 8 reps. What I think put me over the edge was shrugs with 315 for 10 reps, for 3 sets. I felt great afterwards, but this morning I feel really messed up. No more training for the rest of the week. By the way I am so fucking sore I cant move. I do not recommend this!!!!

No ,you will never be able to train again. You should therefore send the $10,000 equipment to strengthmonster j/k.
Seriously, when you are ill your body can slip into a catabolic state. It is concerned with fighting the illness and so building muscle is near impossible. I have been guilty of training through illness myself on many occasions as I hate to miss, however it is not wise if you are very ill. A common cold that isn't too bad on the other hand should be OK to train through as it can sometimes only last a couple of days. Up the Vit C and water.

It's interesting that you say that you managed to lift some pretty heavy weight because I also find that when I have a cold I am able to lift some good weight. I put it down to having a lot of stored energy due to resting and taking it easy while having the cold.
