I am a powerlifter and all I need is a good squat rack with a bench, the kind where you scoot the bench under and it has two adjustable pins. One for the barbell and one when you go to failure, for safety. I don't really even need a cage, just the squat rack and bench. Everything in my routine utilizes a barbell. I figure I need at least a 300 lb weight set. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to buy it online and have it shipped to central florida, so please give advice. Thanks.

I like the power rack on that site. http://www.yukon-fitness.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/store/powrrack.htm?L+store+wajx8738+981407114 That is a great value. This is what I am thinking about getting though http://www.dunhamssports.com/product/index.jsp?productId=223653&categoryPath=890 Again all I need is to be able to do presses, squats and deads mainly. I basically just use a barbell with my whole workout. Can anyone else help?

I have decided on that power rack from yukon fitness, thanks for the link. I am getting my weight set and my flat bench from www.newyorkbarbells.com They seem to have good stuff.

Try www.fitnessfactory.com They have some really nice stuff cheap. Get their catalog. I got 300lbs of weight for $99, and sweet bench for $179 and a lat pull down and pulley attachment for $79.

Garza...don't forget that you really need one tall enough to do standing overhead barbell presses in. That is my problem. I am 6'2" tall and have really really long arms. I can't do st. overhead presses in my rack.

Just something to think about.

B Fold, I have never done those before, never thought about it, I am 5'11. Maybe you should try www.newyorkbarbells.com, they will alter the equipment at no extra charge if i'm not mistaken.

WoW...that made me take another look at it. Be sure that it is high enough for you. I did not do st overhead barbell presses when I bought my power rack...but I wish that I had now.

I am doing strongman training right now...so I am really focusing on my overhead strength. I think that it is one of the great mass builders. I hope to clean & press 315 by May 15th.

I want to do partials on overheads to get my body used to holding that much weight over my head.

Thanks again

So did the newyork barbells site claim that they would alter the power rack? I believe they will, its only 329 for the power rack and free freight (they charge up the ass for shipping a weight set though). That seems like the best power rack i've found for retail. Everything on that site is made in U.S. Looks like good stuff.
