I always did either a 4 days split or a five day workout. The 4 day split was 4 sets of 5 reps. *****Which workout will put on more MASS? A 2 day HIT workout or a 5 day MAX-Ot workout.***** I don't want to be influenced by the hype! I see alot of newbies ranting and raving about HIT, What about you VET's? ------------------

I lift only 2 days a week. Day 1: squats, stiff leggs, chins, barbell rows, cleans, bar curls. Day 2: flat bench, inc bench, cl grips, skull krushers, clean & press. This may see like a lot to do on each day...but it takes about 1:15 to do it all. I do about 4-5 sets on squats, bench, and cleans. Everything else I usually only do 2 maybe 3 sets. Day 3: tire flip, sled pull, sled drag, farmer's walk, tire throw. Event day...takes a lot out of me. B True

I lift 3 days a week. I used to train almost everyday. Started lifting really heavy and intense and I am too sore to lift again until the following week. I am training to compete bodybuilding and have put on a lot of mass training this way. I do chest/back, legs, shoulders/arms. I do abs 3 days a week as well. Everyone is different. You have to try a few different routines and then see what works best for you.

3-4 days is best for bodybuilding. 2 days is good for the type of power-training that B-fold the Truth does.

Bump!!!!! I am about to go to 3 days a week here soon. Need to concentrate more on my standing overhead presses. Need a day where I can really focus on that exercise. B True

I have used Max-OT with great results. H.I.T. strikes me as an extreme in weight training with something like German Volume training on the other end of the spectrum. I have known or heard reviews of many people who have tried Mike Mentzer's workout programs, and I have yet to here a single raving review in regards to muscle development. The common response from H.I.T.ers to people who give up, is that they didn't train intensely enough or they are overtraining. I feel that few people are going to optimize muscle gains with HIT training. Max-OT is a form of H.I.T. (high intensity, low volume workouts) but is more flexible and seems more geared towards muscle development. The nice thing about Max-OT is you have a time definite program with step by step instruction and the program is consistent. Ask for a H.I.T. program and you may get 5 exercises once every 10 days, or full body 3x week, or who knows what else. My strong belief is that Muscularity gains come from progessive Muscle Overload with a low volume program geared around compound movements----which is how Max-OT works. |
