I would like to know of training 1 bodypart a week is sufficient enough.I mean I train heavy one week (4-6reps 3sets, 4 exercises). Then the next week its light somewhat (supersets and giant sets 6-10reps 3 sets 4 exercises). Im drug free and need some advice on this.

Most people only train 1 bodypart 1 day per week. Sometimes what I do is throw in a circuit training day towards the end of the week if some my muscles feel recuperated.

1 body part a week is pretty common especially if you're not doing AS. As most people on this board will tell you, it's mostly in the nutrition. So eat up.

I have been a natural BB for over 10 years and in the beginning trained my bodyparts twice per week. With maturity I found that training each bodypart once per week led to quality gains which never burned me out. If you train back for example, with enough intensity, you should not be ready to train it again for 5-7 days. If you are, your simply not training hard enough. Training naturally is quite different than training on AS for the simple reason that while on the assistance of juice you can train more frequently with less fatigue. LOL

Yea Ive been training for about 10yrs myself and made the same mistake training twice per week and was rally burned out. I read the body for life book and incorperated some of the things in the book to my training like the 1 minute rest period between sets and found out that alot of my gains went up on heavy week. I just have to experiment i guess. Thanks punch. quote:

If you are training heavy and very intensly it is almost impossible to train each bodypart more than once a week. I am burn out and if I train before that, I cant lift the weights and my workout suffers and I dont get anything out of it. I have gotten better gains since I started training once a week, instead of 2x. |
