Been a couch potatoe for too long, but have a high enough metabolism not too have suffered too much fat gain. I'm 23yrs 5'10" and 190lbs with a 32 in waist...but not in that good of shape at all (especially cardiovascularly) and not sure of what my %bf is. I just started trying to get back in shape since right before new year's and have regained some lost strength. Went out and raided GNC too (don't laugh ) Got some creatine serum and some whey protein and have been hitting the weights. Now I don't know if I'm just being over excited or not but I actually think I can see a difference, but I have also noticed something disturbing, I'm kinda asymmetrical in my upper body...guess I'm left brained and right side dominant or something but I can see this asymmetry in my biceps especially but almost as much in my shoulders and triceps...So I ask you...HELP!!! What do I need to do to correct this? should I stop training my right side and try to catch up the left side? should I lower the intensity of the bigger side and keep the other constant? I cant lift as much with the left arm as the right so when I do sets using the bar-bell i'm probably cheating the left side with help from the right...I'm confused and dont know how to proceed. Any help will be MORE than appreciated. Thanks in advance

my right arms been much more dominant than my left all through life in size and strength. I'm not too worried, i've seen others with the problem.

Star using more dumbell movements in your routine. You can not really cheat either side on aany dumbell movement. Over time this should help your lack of symmetry.

maybe your anxiousness for training, is making you sacrifice good form. remember that form is the most important thing. |
