I had a beginner ask me in the gym tonight what he should do for back. I told him chins, deads, and a rowing movement (preferably T-Bars). These should be the basics to overall back development. I wouldn't go through a back workout without doing these 3 or a variation thereof. What are your guys' mainstays on back day? Remember, this guy is new so I had him stick to basic, compound movements. ------------------

sounds good to me but if he is a beginner he prob.cant do chins (for any amount of reps ) so id suggest lat pull downs ,but sounds like good advice ph21 ------------------

Lat pull downs are a good replacement for chins...especially for a beginner. Sounds like a good routine to start out with though.

Sounds good. This is what I would suggest. Chins/Pulldowns Barbell Rows Deadlifts Just my opinion. B True

Sounds good to me but if you don't have access to a t-bar i'd go with bent over rows.

Id give him, Chins Power Upright Rows He should also be working his whole upper body in the same Day. Add in. Ans he has a great powerfull upper body workout. Id put the rest for his lower body workout, Sorry for prolonging this short answer. ------------------
