Who trains forearms? And no jerking off jokes. Just curious, I never do, should I?

I train them a couple of times a week. I get a lot of secondary work with them though. I do not use straps...so that gives them a little work.

I made some wrist rollers with 2" and 3" pvc pipe. I use them a few times a week. I also have a 700lb tire that I do a tire flip routine with. Oddly enough that kills my grip/forearms.

I think that it makes me feel stronger around my wrist and elbows. I do not do wrist curls with a bar or dumbell. They always leave me injured after a few times.

email for any help

not sure if you should do this, but on barbell curls and on conc. curls, i do a wrist curl motion on lifting the weight. my forearms are a LOT more cut then they used to be (not at all) so i assume its working. i dont know if this is safe though

I do work on forearms with my bicep because I find the pump in my forearms while doing curls.

I never train them because they get a lot of secondary work and as a result they grow from that. However if its a weak point or they're not growing at all I'd take time out to train them. I think its something you need to judge for yourself if you need to train them or not.

sergio oliva used to do that all the time, sure it's safe...

if you want to add forearm girth do 2-3 sets of heavy behind the back wrist curls after your back workout as a last movement.

I train them right after biceps. I use hammer curls for my last exercise for bi's because it is a good transitional exercise.

erm.. whats a behind the back wrist curl. i checked on all the animated exercise sites i know and i cant find it. do you out your arms on your shoulders facing back and curl. or put you hands behind your waist. the exercise seems pretty good and i'd love some forearm size.

I train them twice a week, especially w/ back and/or biceps. There's nothing like a great grip that can help you in a fight.

eat spinach and you'll have forearms like popeye!! hehe...

behind the back wrist curl: put both arms behind your back (palms facing behind you)hold a medium weight barbell 110-130lbs and curl you wrists up 8-15 reps.

only takes 2-4 sets after back/biceps... and popeye will be jealous! 17" forearms will be yours in 4-8 months easy (if you got the genetics )

have a nice day ladies!

I don't always do mine. Like many others they grow from back and bis. If they look like they are lagging a bit I'll do hammers, wrist curl forwards and reverse on the end of a bench, behind the back or reverse curls.
