I like it. Good basic mass excercises with plenty of cardio. Well thought out for what you are trying to achieve. What stuff do you do for cardio?

3 sensible meals along with 3 designer protein shakes. EC before each workout. I also just either walk at a fast pace or jog. Usually between 3.8- 5 on the treadmill. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Steelheart (edited January 09, 2001).]

All looks good, just be careful of the knees from jogging at your weight. It can be stressful on them or you can get shin splints if you are prone to them. I jog a bit but prefer cycle, row, step and bag/pad work for cardio.

Its not too bad. I use a good treadmill that cushins my jog. I also like the stairmaster, but my g/f cant do it too much yet so I just walk fast. ------------------

Sounds like Body for Life. 6 days training 3 days weights every other day, and 3 days cardio. Six small meals per day. I did it, and lost a lot of fat also. Good work. Are you still cutting? How long did it take you?

With my shakes I usually take it with OJ. Sometimes I mix it up with my yoghurt. The split is good. Its basic and effective. ------------------

Steelheart, always with the good info. So how does your diet work out, 40/30/30? just wondering what you're eating. Do you think I could still gain muscle while following a 40/30/30 diet, using adipokinetix, and using german volume training? ------------------

Thanks Going Big I try my best. My diet at that time was very simple. Now Im trying to lower carbs more and increase good fats, like natural peanut butter etc... ------------------

Did you keep the same upper routine for both workouts in the same week, or did you change up a little for variety??
Olympian Posts: 1724 |
At that time it was the same. Now my program is a little different. ------------------

Steel new on the scene and was wondering if you could modify this for someone who has no interest in cutting up but only to grow. What key excersises would you do and can it be done with only a three day aweek program. Knowledge is power...

Do the same but do not do cardio, and dont train on empty stomach. ------------------

Congratulations! Those are some amazing results. I just had one question - did you always do 2 upper body and 1 lower body workout each week, or would you switch between 2 upper/ 1 lower and 1upper/2lower every other week?

One other question - how long had you been training before you started this routine? This looks good for a beginner/intermediate lifter, but i was under the impression that if you've been training for a while, you need to split up your bodyparts more.
