Some guy suggested this to me. The percentage means percentage of the 1RM

Sets x %1RM / reps
-------------------

1 x 50 % 12-15
1 x 60 % 10-12
1 x 70 % 8-10
1 x 80 % 6-8
1 x 90 % 3-4
1 x 100 % 1
5 x 90 % to failure
1 x 60 % to failure

too many warm-up sets. stick with three sets warm up, three sets working~all working to failure.

I do lots of warm up sets, but they are all very low rep sets.

45 x 20
135 x 15
225 x 6
317 x 1-2
355 x 1
376 x 1
403.5 x 1
345 x all I have

This was one of my most recent chest workouts. My first hard set was with 403.5...I totally killed myself on the 345 set. Total failure in my power rack. I fought it all the way back down to my chest when I hit failure.

judging from my experience,i experienced huge gains in strength and size w/ low rep training.my bench routine looks like this:
w/up @ 45 x 20,135 x 12,225 x 6,315 x 1
work sets @ 275 x 6,295 x 4,295 x 4.that's where i'm at right now and my chest has exploded.fyi.
