Probably nothing dude, is it just sore? or is it thrashed?

You may have inadvertently allowed tour hips to roll up at the bottom. That would definately cause some lower back pain.

edgecrusher is probably right. Don't let your tailbone get off of the pad. Your hips shouldn't rotate at all. Leg presses used to give me pain until I strictly controlled my range of motion. The only problem was I didn't feel my range of motion (knees only bending to 90 degrees, no more) gave me as good a workout. Right now I'm sticking to Squats and Hack Squats and going deep. Great leg workouts and no back pain whatsoever.

Also, on leg extensions be sure to keep your back flat against the back of the seat. Sometime, when there's too much weight people have a tendency to move away from the seat. Most leg ext. machines have belts, if you use it, it will keep your back flat.

Also, as you already heard, stick to squats and hacks.

I have never had any problems with leg press, but I really never do them either. Maybe 2x a year or something. I don't usually have problems from doing squats either, but I don't wear a belt. My back has gotten stronger because I do not do a belt when I do squats...to the floor. Get rid of your belt, in my opinion.

Oh....my bad bro. Wish that I could help you. Try doing lots of stretches. I used to train in Martial Arts 5-6 days a week and was extremely flexible. I now can still do the splits, but not like I used to. Try practicing the splits in all directions. It sounds weird...but may very well release your lower back pain.
