Does anyone know anything about combining saw palmetto with masteron during a cycle? Saw palmetto is a DHT inhibitor to protect hair and the prostate gland, thus it is recommended during an androgenic steroid cycle. But masteron is a derivative of DHT. I was wondering whether saw palmetto counterracts the side-effects of DHT, i.e. hair loss. If saw palmetto is specific to androgen receptors in the skin and hair follicles then that's great. I don't mind a small impact on the effectiveness of masteron if my hair is protected. But is saw palmetto and masteron simply counterract eachother 100% then I am wasting my time and money. If anyone knows anything about this and can help me that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sorry but I cannot help you myself, but I'd recommend posting this on the Anabolic Discussion board rather than the training board, you'll get a lot more help there.

saw palmetto has been proven to do absolutely nothing for hairloss. Even though it might work to some extent, there is no research behind it. I would go with propecia and stay away from anything derived or related to dht. Propecia reduces the 5 alpha reductase enzyme which converts testosterone to dht, but it would do nothing if you were injecting dht into your body.

I have read that testosterone and anavar are worse for hair loss than masteron. I know heaps of guys who have used much larger quantities of those substances than I plan to use of masteron. They don't seem to be going bald either. I suspect (and hope) the hairloss side effects of masteron may be over-hyped. Fingers crossed. |
