My brother who played college football told me about this workout that he did. He said he gained a lot of strength and massive size. He said that on almost all of the heavy lifts that I do, like bench, incline, shoulder press and so on, I do 20 pounds below my max, 3 sets of 5 reps. And on curls and tricept pushdowns I do heavy as I can handle for 3 sets of 20 reps. Anybody ever hear of this. Thanks for the help guys. Peebs ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]()

Generally I think 3 sets of 20 reps is too much for any bodypart. You should just use more weight and do less reps. As for going heavy as hell for 3 sets of 5 reps, I would say try to do about 8. But everyone has a different method. Switch it up some. Don't always do the same # of sets and reps. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

There is no way that I could do 5 reps with 20lbs lighter than my 1 rep max. Just a thought. B True ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
