Hey Bigfella, Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I've been in the city for the past week. I never really use high volume methods. The only time I use more sets is when I'm taking time off of training. I train has heavy and as hard as I can for 6-12 weeks or as long as a routine stays productive. Once I stop making gains off it, I take a break from HIT for about a week or two, depending how long the routine was productive. On my break I would train 3 times a week (full body), using 3-6 sets with higher reps (10-20). I use exercises that I plan to use for my next cycle, but I perform them with very light weight. Example: I just finished a routine and I used the Flat Bench for chest, this next routine I'll be using weighted dips. So for the next week I'll be focusing on using proper form and just doing light sets. This way I get more mentally conditioned for HIT. I hate going to the gym and just not being all there in the head. Shitty workouts. If you want to use high volume training, I would recommend using it for muscular endurance. Using light-moderate weight with moderate to high number of sets with a high number of reps. ------------------ Check out http://pub30.ezboard.com/bhitsgymofbodybuilding -HB- |
