this may or may not be a stupid question..is there any exercises that target just above your knees?.eg from the knee to about 6 inches up the leg..im starting to see development in my thighs and think i need a bit extra around the knee area, and cant think of any exercises that would work..

Atg squats hit that area pretty well. As do extensions.

nope, no isolation movement for different parts of the quad at all, it doesn't exist.
that stuff about facing the toes a certain way during leg ext. etc, is false.

like the bro said ATF squats= full range of motion= thorough quad movement.

There are mixed opinions, but i believe you can isolate that area with leg extensions. I definately feel that area working more with extensions than I do with squats. Not to bring down squats, they are great for overall leg developement.
