Any tips while doing dips? chest position? elbow? grip? how much do you go down? thnks | ||

Hey bro, I always keep my elbows in pretty tight, and I go down as far as I can. My shoulders touch the bars. BUT, some people fuck up their shoulders going down that far. It does put a lot of stress on them, but Ive got really strong shoulders, and that deep works great for me. For a while you may want to go just below parallel, and gradually try them deeper, but if you feel your shoudlers, dont go that deep. The more you lean forward, you the more you hit chest, as opposed to tris. ------------------ | ||

which grip is the best,currently i do 3 sets of dips ,and each set i change grip,i go close grip ,medium grip then outer grip,which is the best and isolatoes the triceps the most?? im guesing inner -medium? | ||

Leaning slightly forward is great for the chest.Straight back for pure tri's power. ------------------ | ||

Lean in as you go down to hit the chest more. A wider grip also puts more focus on the chest as opposed to narrow hitting triceps more. |
