You need to shed some fat.If you have fat covering the muscle it doesnt matter how much you train they will never show.

I agree, you definately need to build muscle in your abdomin, but it's useless unless your lean enough to show it off. I would say work 'em twice a week, but some people say otherwise.

Pretty Simple, No Cardio = No Abs. I do 10 min Before every work-out, the 10min after. U should always do some cardio before, Gets the blood flowing, and you get a way better pump when you start the weights. But seriously, I wouldn't even worry about training abs until you have the BF down.

I recommend fixing your diet. I recommend restricting your calories, but you should never go below 1500. Staying at a very low calorie level isn't healthy if you stay on it too long. From your calories I recommend that you stick with these ratios of Carbs/Protein/Fat: 30%/40%/30%. You should be getting fats from good sources like Salmon and Flaxseed oil. I recommend buying Udo's Choice Oil Blend. Your carbs should come from complex sources like potatoes, rice, wheat pasta. Be sure that all of the carbs you eat are low in sugar. I don't recommend eating a lot of fruit. If you want to eat fruit during the early parts of the day, that's fine. I recommend going for low glycemic fruit like grapefruits and oranges. As for protein, I recommend eating chicken, salmon, tuna, lean steak (once a week at the most), white turkey, egg whites or egg substitutes and low fat cottage cheese. I don't recommend drinking milk, because milk does have a lot of sugar in it. Like 10-15 grams per serving. When you cook your meats, do not fry them. Broil them or grill them. I recommend investing in a good protein powder or a meal replacement. As far as training goes, I recommend starting out doing three cardio sessions a week, starting at 20 minutes. Work your abs hard no more than twice a week. That's all you really need. Gradually increase the duration of your cardio until you get up to 45 minutes. Once you can do 45 minutes easily, add one more cardio session, so you'll be doing 4 cardio sessions a week. I recommend doing them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you have access to a gym, take advantage of it. Use the machines like the rowing machines, elliptical trainers, stair steppers, station bikes, anything that is low impact on your joints. Your cardio should be low-moderate intensity. You should never get to the point where you're so out of breath that you can't speak. If you have any more questions, please ask. Take care. ------------------ Check out http://pub30.ezboard.com/bhitsgymofbodybuilding -HB- |
