are you talking about those things that you attach to your abs for example, and it sends an electronic pulse out, causing muscles to contract? If so i read somewhere (maybe here ![]() And to be honest they have can only of seen the short term effects of tis. Im quite sceptical but sending out electric impulses to cause muscles to contract artificially can't be that good for you. ![]() ![]() ![]()

it's only good for rehabilitation. do a search there was a very good post on the anabolic board. Our good fellow Dr. Atlas has used these on patients before and gives some good info. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just finished 5 months of using a Electronic Muscle Stimulator and ankle weigths for rehab for a MCL injury. I hated every minute of it but it was a necessary evil to get better plus was much better then the painful frictions I had to endure as well. I will admit it certainly helped despite making my knee swell bad afterwards however once i was making progress, it was time to move on to other forms of rehab. I do support using this when necessary however I agree that it is strictly for rehab. Now I prefer to work my MCL by doing leg presses with my toes outward. I'll take a good workout at the gym over an EMS rehab anyday!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
