I did some searching on the archived topics, and they some said 5-6 times a week, some said 3-4 times a week, a couple 2-3 times a week. I can't work out what would be right for me.
I currently do 2 days a week usually Tuesdays and wednesdays, or tuesdays and thursdays (I have to alternate between the two every week or i get kicked out of uni in a nutshell.)

Tuesdays = chest, back and shoulder
Thursday = arms (biceps, triceps, forearms)
I do cardio (boxing) on saturdays.

Is this enough for a beginner (i've been building for 2-3 months seriously now.) I've experienced gains but i don't know if i could be experiencing more. Any thought on the matter would be much appreciated

I can assure you the fact that you left legs out of the equation will hamper your progress!!!! By Squatting once a week I can promise you it will lead to gains. Your lower half makes up more than 1/2 your body so train it that way!!!!

Throw in a leg day and do something with that chest, back, shoulder day. Just my 2 cents, but I don't think you can devote 100% of your energy to all three body parts in one day. Move the shoulders to your arm day or something along that line.

yeah, i used to do legs on fridays, but a BIG timetable change happened and i kissed that goodbye for a while! but holidays coming soon and i get a new timetable next term so i should be able to get a leg day in!

The only reason i did shoulders on the same day as chest+back is with compund movements in benching etc. they were getting excercise so i thought might as well isolate them as well. I don't suppose this helps matters too much though so i'll give them a workout with the arms.

Thanks very much for the feedback, much appreciated as always

throw in a leg day. it would be the biggest mistake you ever made not too.

Shoulders/Arms

Legs

Chest/Back

Boxing/Cardio

would work well. (in no particular order, each week)
