15lbs in 4 weeks is absolute bullshit. don't lie to me and then I'll critique your routine/workouts

I put on 15 lbs and it is because I was ripped at 148, eating tons of protein around 70% of total calories with the rest being split between carbs and fat. I have now switched to the new diet.

Your diet is good bro, For natural training I would drop the sets a bit,I would drop to 8 failure sets, per body part and I would seriously consider training like this :- Monday chest/legs Tuesday off Wednesday back/tris Thurs off Friday Shoulders/ biceps ------------------

I'm a little scepticle about the 15 pound thing being natural, but i guess it's possible. Just remember, if you gain over 2 pounds a week, a lot of it is fat, especially minus cardio. Also, you're short, you can put on size no problem. To me 70% protein sounds high. Can you post your programs in more detail (what excercises). I'm interested in seeing how you could make such great gains in this time without gear.

This was the first time I had ever attempted to get into what I waould consider to be competition shape. I have never used any kind of gear, or ever really depended on suppliments. However when i made this decision I went on Xenadrine. I changed my diet from a 50 %protein, 40%carbs 10%fat to a 70 20 10 because I knew I had to reduce my carbs but I was unsure of how much. Then I went from a program of power cleans bench squat &jerks(i played soccer and lacrosse in college so that was the program I used), to a program which concentrated more on each individual muscle. I did chest on day 1, bi's and legs on day 2, took day 3 off, id shoulders and tri's on day 5 and back on day 6, the took day seven off. I did this for about 6 weeks and got shredded. Also, most of my carbs came from vegetables. When I decided that I wanted to get big I then switched to the eating and lifting schedule you see posted. I do 12 sets for big muscles and 9 for small and try to keep the rep range between 6 and 8, no higher than 8 though. I also think that I was able to gain the weight because i stopped doing cardio, something I never did before. That's it, if you have any more questions feel free to email me. Oh, yeah and I always switch up excercises, I never do the same ones.

I'm not trying to be a jerk. what do you want from everyone on this board? a pat on the back? if that's what you need (and you really did gain 15lbs) then "pat, pat" good job stevelax. If you did really gain that weight sounds like you don't need anyones opinion on your schedule!!! cause your doing great right now bro!!! keep it up.

I believe him a/b the 15 pounds... he was 148lbs to begin with!! Anyway lose the skim milk and whey protein bullshit and buy a high quality meal replacement with extra calories... Whey protein is highly overrated b/c the absorption is too fast and your amino levels are only raised for maybe anhour tops!! For you this is not good. You need a blend of proteins from milk eggs and whey. This slows the process down and gets you through until you next feeding 2 hours later. Laters ------------------ |
