When it comes to squats, what have you found to be the best for quad development and increasing strength? Few sets/high reps or multi sets/low reps.

On squats, I'd say that it would be better to keep your reps low. But you can do higher reps on the leg press machines or hack squats. You need a variety of reps/weights for perfect legs, but for the size, low rep high weight squats are best.

I like to do either very low reps or very high reps. Try doing 6 sets of 10 reps with 225 or so. Go as deep as possible and only wait 60 seconds between sets. Slowly increase the weight every week by 5lbs or so. I did 300 that way a couple years back. Puked in the snow after my 5th set too.

You can benefit from high rep and low rep squats. the folling rep routine is what I use in my squat workout:
1st set: 15 reps, warmup
2nd set: 10 reps, warmup
3rd set: 15-25 reps failure
4th set: 8 reps failure
5th set: 12 reps failure
6th set: 6 reps failure

btw, I got 27" quads... thought you'd like to know (I'm 5'7"... a "midget" LOL)

I agree with Valtez..

Although I do not do as many sets I am getting good results with squatting low and high reps.... I used to go low all the time untill I stopped progressing...

I like

if you want to puke and get a growth hormone surge try this:
10 sets of 20 rep squats: you will die slowly rolling on the floor.
Pick a weight you can do 20 reps comfortably
AND DO NOT QUIT UNTIL YOU ARE DONE, NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!
