Any comments or suggestions about my German Volume Training program:

60 second rest between sets and exercises
day 1:
Pullups 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
Bent over barbell rows 4X10
Barbell Curls 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
Preacher seat curls 3X10

day 2:
Bench 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
Dips 3X10
Closegrip bench 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
French curls 3x10

day 3: off

Day 4:
Military press 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
Upright rows 3x10
Squats 10X(aiming for 10) 402 tempo
calves 3x10

day 5 off

repeat

Anything I can do to get more out of this 4 week program?

that looks like a very good basic program. you should progress with that. workouts look short but efficient.

I would do 5-7 sets for calves, and add stiff leg deadlifts, or leg curls to get the hamstrings.

If you want to add some more for chest- flat bench flye's

for back- cable rows

do you have any bodyparts that you feel are lacking at the moment?

Thanks for the reply Valdez.
Because of the 10x10 volume, will I end up overtraining if I add any other exercises?
I have good chest development but poor strength. Good strength with shoulders and arms but poor development. What would be a good routine to follow up with when I'm done with GVT?

I'm currently doing my second cycle of GVT and it's fanstatic best training I have ever used.

On day 2 you added in close grip bench at 10 sets I think this is to much work for one day. In that day alone you are doing 260 reps and all your exercises affect one another, I would cut back on the close grip to 3 sets of 10 at the very most.

Enjoy it it's tuff but the results are were it.

Cheers

SOB, should I also reduce the number of barbell curls on day 1? Should I just follow GVT with the major boday parts: chest, legs, shoulders, and back, and use a 3 set routine for arms?

Thanks

hey king

Yes if I was you I would stick to compounded movements and then do 3 sets of 10 for other.

This is hard work start off nice and easy.

Have a look at this site some very good info
http://homepages.together.net/~twilbur/fitness.htm

I think it belongs to Valdez I could be wrong though none the less excellent site.
