So what does everyone currently do for cardio? Right now I don't do much of any cardio. For example last nite I got on the elipse machine for 10 minutes and then walked around the track for five minutes. I used to be able to run about 3 miles or so and since ive quit doing cardio I bet I couldn't get 2 miles. I have been building muscle lately though

Besides warm ups for lifting I'm all sprints since I'm training for football next season.

Hey Rex37, what are your stats? Like how much can you bench/squat etc? I am your age and about your size so I was just wondering. I squat 185 for about 6 good reps and for bench I use dumbells...the 50 lb...for a few sets of 6 also. I'd just kinda like to know since we are the same age/size.

Hey Garza whats up? My stats...

Height: 5'8"-5'9"
Weight: 155
BF%: 10%. In the winter I go up to about 12% for some reason.
Bench: 135 x 1
Squat: 395 x 1

Do you know any sites that offer push-pull routines? I made a post asking for them but this board has been pretty dry lately.

Wow 395 thats insane. I guess my max would be about 225. Your bench sucks (about the same as mine). I don't particularly know of any sites offering push/pull routines but here are some good sites i know of: www.fitnessonline.com www.skiplacour.com www.davedraper.com www.cyberpump.com http://members.aol.com/usamuscle/train.html That last one is the most likely to have what you want, hope this helps.

I don't do much cardio at all. I have been doing cardio for 30-45min 2x a week on days that I do not lift. I walk (3.0mph or so) on the treadmill for 30 min then ride the stationary bide for 15. All of these are done without a lot of effort. I want to gain muscle and only do this cardio just to make me feel good and relaxed. Also helps with the b/p n stuff.

rex37 a push pull routine is a simple routine
example ;chest,delts,tricips=workout 1
legs,back, bicips=workout 2
this is the way i would do it.
week1
m-workout1
t-off
w-workout2
t-off
f-workout1
s-off
s-off

week2
m-workout2
t-off
w-workout1
t-off
f-workout2
this is called rotation for recuperation split
the workout;
workout1-chest,delts,tricips
benchpress 5-4-3-2-1
military press 5-4-3-2-1
dips-5x5

workout2
squats-5-4-3-2-1
cleans-5-4-3-2-1
chins3x max reps
barbell curls 5x5

thats it!try to add 5lbs a week until you peak or hit a sticking point.
than post agian for an updated routine or take a week off and start all over again.
hope this helps
