I don't think this is anything to worry about. This has been happening to me a bit lately. Is it just a vibrating type sensation? Sometimes my biceps do that or any other muscle. Its nothing to worry about.

your nervous system is recovering from the workout. it's possible that you may have overtrained that muscle. I wouldn't recomend doing this on a weekly basis, btw that has happened to my tris, and teardrop on my quads.

Does anyone have a medical explanation for this? I had it during the summer in my right delt while I was at work. Luckily I had a lady friend temporarily work it out with her hand because it started to become a conversation item at the office. My twitching shoulder, not her massage of course.

I used to get the same thing all over my body during the football season. My twiches were very bad. They resembled a convultion in the area of the muscle. My team doctor told me is occurs due to fatigue, overtraining, dehydration and lack of rest. My glutes would twich along with my traps and just about every muscle I can think of. Don't worry it will go away in time. Get good rest and drink plenty of water.
