how many of you followed the basics for a year to lay the foundation for your more advanced workouts.
sample routine;

monday-wednesday-friday
squats 10-8-6-4
stiffleg deadlift 10-8-6-4
benchpress 10-8-6-4
chins 3x6-9
military press 10-8-6-4
dips 3x6-9
thats it i allways go back to basics when i get stuck or hit a sticking point the only differance is i do my sets in a reverse pyramid style give it a try i allways get a honest workout on this workout

The only time I ever do a full body workout is when I need to precondition my body for a new routine. I never use heavy weights and I always use higher reps. Here's my full body routine.

Monday/Wednesday/Fridy
Squat 3 x 10-12
Stiff-legged Deadlifts 3 x 10-12
Bench Press 3 x 10-12
Pulldowns or Chins 3 x 10-12
Military Press 3 x 10-12
Lying Triceps Extension 3 x 10-12
Dumbbell Curl 3 x 10-12
Standing Calf Raise 3 x 15-25
Crunch 3 x 15-25

I also do 2-3 cardio sessions when I do these type of workouts. Good post Big Bear.
