Right now I am bodybuilding, I have increased my strength a great deal but I was wondering If I should focus more on compound movements and cut out some of the isolation.

I know that I'll increase strength by doing the compound exersizes but I am scared that I will have to use less weight on everything else when I return to it.

Also, I know the big 3 for PL is bench press, squat and deadlift. I really do not know how to deadlift, first of all. And secondly, could I do the bench press with dumbells? Thats how I normally do them. Should I totally salvage my routine and do the big 3 and a few other lifts for mass. And if I do would it be okay to still do abs, calves, etc?? I need advice please.

www.deepsquater.com tons of PL info.

use lots of compound movements yes, keep doing calves: hell yes.

for triceps do close-grip bench, etc. shit like that. still do chins, and BB rows for back. never only do the big 3. PL still use a variety of movements. stick to free-weights

I want to gain muscle mass and get stronger. I'm not too worried about definition. I am small and skinny right now with a good amount of muscle. I usually lift heavy, within the 6 to 10 rep range. I do abs on each training day also. My routine is

Monday Chest/arms
dumbell flat bench
dumbell incline
dumbell flyes
assisted dips

Preacher curls
Barbell curls

Skull crushers
Cable pushdowns

Friday Legs
Squats
Leg press
Leg curl
Leg extension
Inner/outter thigh
Seated calf raises

Saturday Shoulders and back
Wide grip t bar rows
neutral (narrow) grip t bar
Low row machine
weighted hyperextensions

Dumbell shoulder press
Ez curl Upright rows
Side raises
lateral raises
Dumbell shrugs

Looks solid to me, you don't have many isolation excercises, so you should be gaining strengh and mass on that routine.

If you want to include PL into your routine, i say just make your workouts revolve more around the basic three.

Other than that your routine looks good, but the amount of sets per day looks a bit high to me... as long as you're not overtraining tho it's fine.
