I used to smoke in high school, but I dropped that habit. It wasn't helping much on my performance in the weight room and in martial arts. A good reason to exercise is to stay fit and smoking in my opinion, is a nasty habit and a waste of money. I'd rather spend my 200 dollar a month habit (some of my friends have a 200 dollar habit) on something else. It's a stimulant, very much like a drug. I don't mean to sound judgemental, but see it as a sign of weakness. I have no problem with people smoking, if they enjoy it, great. I find it funny how some people always rely on cigs. When they haven't had one in a while they always say, "God, I need one so bad..." My friend can't go a day without one.

I smoke, and have no intentions of quitting. I did however, want to cut down, which was why I started lifting. More time I spend working out is less time smoking. Its worked so far.
