He's been flaming everyone lately. Glutamine is great for muscle recovery, and when placed with arginine, almost makes those cheap GH powder all the companies were pushing a few years ago. Glutamine is also great in doses of like 40 grams a day when you can't workout. I had to have a couple surgeries a while back, and all my BB Bro's told me to take like 40g a day spread out really well to help me retain mass while I couldn't lift. I say, and let every one else disagree, take like 20g a day for a few weeks spread out real well throughout the day and see how your muscles feel. It's It's good stuff. -Blackop | ||

sorry. (I haven't flamed that many C'mon, if I did they usually deserve it.) What kind of glutamine are you using? L-glutamine?= the amount of amonia produced by 20-40grams a day would be toxic. hopefully you mean Glutamine peptides right? good. use about 10-20 grams 3 every day. 40 is overkill, and unnecessary. It the L-glutamine....its the 1000mg dose...it says that 1 capsule is 1 gram...does that mean I have to take 40 of them?? Im lost....thats ok valdez....Im new to this board....Thanks...b | ||

L-glutamine! ok ok. it's ok to be new, sorry I was harsh! no L-glutamine SHOULD NOT be taking in such large amounts!! for L-glutamine take 5g-10g daily (honestly I took 5 grams when I did take it, good amount!) take 3 grams before workout (seriously) and 2 grams with food after. I don't know why but I SWEAR L-glutamine could keep me strong longer. Glutamine Peptides are the ones you should take 20-30 grams daily. p.s. any good protein supp. about 10% or so of grams of protein will be glutamine peptides! my .02 Dorian Yates (repeated Mr. Olympia) has one of my favorite quotes: " the road failure may be paved with MANY GOOD INTENTIONS" later. | ||

Valdez is that your personal opinion or do you have research backing your statement that 40 grms is too much.Have even tried taking glutimine in high dosages? | ||

no kidding man!! I've been taking 30+g a day in 8wk on 2wk off cycles for about 2 years now, and when the Corps gave me my last blood test, they said I was good to go. I would think they'd of noticed if something was way off. I could be wrong though, maybe I'm about to die and don't know it????????? -Blackop | ||

like I said Mac Sloan, just my .02 REMEMBER THAT AMINO ACIDS MUST BE IN THE PROPER RATIO, or the body can't use them to build muscle. 20-30 grams of glutamine pept. is a hell of a lot to take as a single amino acid!! 40+ in my opinion is totally unneccesary. |
