for your ass try leg curls they help the hamstring and ass, squats, lower back heavy deadlifts

Here's a suggested routine to try.

Squats 3 x 15 (Not Heavy)
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts 3 x 15 (Not Heavy)
Butt Blaster Machine 3 x 20 each glute
Back Extensions 3 x 10-15

I believe this may help your lower back and butt. Don't go to failure on any of these movements. I believe you're just trying to tone your ass and condition your back, am I right? Use a weight that is 60-80% of your 1RM. Good luck. I recommend that you throw in a good abominal routine. You're a Marine, so you probably know a few. If not here's a simple one.

Crunch 3 x 15-25
Dumbbell Side Bend 3 x 10-20 (each side)

deep hack squats for the Hiny, and stiff leg deadlift for lower back. (you can add hyperextensions too)
