I have a p/t job at a country bar as a bouncer. Two weeks ago, we had a good scuffle inside. The guy I was bringing out started fighting with me and we both went over the railing of the dance floor (I did get in one good shot on the way down). Afterwards, I noticed my calf was a little sore but I really didn't worry about it. The next morning, it was really sore and it has been sore for two solid weeks. The last couple of days it seems like it has gotten worse. I can't put any pressure on it, as in sitting down in a chair with my legs propped up, without it hurting (burning sensation). I did legs Monday (not calves) and it was sore but I could still do the same weight. I'm wondering, with it not getting any better, did I tear or rip a muscle in my calf?

FlexRich here Dr.Debacle, one thing I have to ask you when you went over did you stretched the calf in a falling motion or was your leg bent on the way down, I know you will probably say "how the hell am I to remeber how my leg position was?" but this is a very good question because you might have just strained your calf muscle, I've had many of those, I talk from experience from the gym and playing college football, best thing to do is let it heal and warm hot pad on it for about half an hour a day. Always Flexing, FlexRich.

P.S. I hope you kicked the #%#! out of him.

If it is not getting any better I recommend that you get it checked out. Hopefully the injury is not serious. Good luck to you.

Thanks guys for the replies... I'm not sure how it was hurt. I might have to get it checked out because it's still hurting today, nearly three weeks afterwards... thanks again guys.
