I've heard all the scientific mumbo jumbo stating that hormone levels change for the worse longer than 1 hour of strenious lifting. allow me to conduct my own experiment using the scientific method: how long does EVERYONE work out for mass and WHY? I usually work for 70 minutes. And I used to work for 100-130 minutes (that's to long, I think.)

Valdez, I've heard something along the same lines (don't remember where I read it though, probably from Ian King's Get Buffed book). I think, at a certain point, you can actually negatively affect your hormonal status, so working out for short periods (30-60 minutes) is best. Personally, I like to work out for about a hour to an hour and a half. However, I spend a lot of time stretching and warming-up. Genetic

I don't look at it as time but how can I get the most quality without wasting time. I will be in the gym maybe 30 minutes. GO with the 45 minute rule, you may need to speed thinds up if you are doing bodybuilding. |
